SE closed up and everyone went over to iron.media. They even paid the $10 a month. Then the site disappeared.
I have wondered if another site was created but could not find any info. I thought someone would send an invite to the new site.
I asked Alin and Hercules several times if they knew of a new site. Finally Hercules replied and told me about this site.
There doesn’t seem to be much activity here. Do you want to keep this site quiet or something?
I have ideas on how to get the word out to old members such as starting a twitter and facebook account using the old SE website name and share the new site web address so the guys can find their way here. When people do an Internet search, it will lead them right to the Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Iron media unfortunately had some hiccups. It did not shut down the owner of it transferred servers and change the format to a Facebook style format. Invitations were sent out but lots of people had problems navigating to and or joining the new site I was on there creating content along with the administrator and there were a few old SE members that made it over there but not many there were some new people that joined but honestly over the course of the year not many people visited and from what I understand it just became troublesome trying to keep it going so the owner ended up shutting it down. It was neat again it was like Facebook you just scrolled through and saw everybody's posts and you could click on it to open up articles or other links I'm very user friendly.
There are many people that do know about this site but like myself you get busy with life and forget to visit it. I actually lost the URL for the site and contacted Hercules to get it again. I am in touch with many old SE members but they have moved on to other things and honestly don't use much social media anymore the day of the forums has kind of ended. I like your idea but it kind of reminds me of the same issue that the gentleman that owned iron media had you just don't get enough consistency it takes money to protect the site speaking on such topics and to keep the quality of content up to have moderators making sure people are posting truthful information and so it doesn't get taken over by a lot of haters. But not too many people want to pay for a members only forum if you will. I am going to try to do my part here in the next couple months to add new contents to share what I have been up to but I see that many people haven't been here since 2023 I think the last time I was here was 2020.
