by MIDNIGHT What seperates us from the average, the normal and the want to be's.... I needed to get into this topic or just vent a bit about it....Everyday from when I turned 17 at 5'8 and 125lbs I joined my first gym on my quest for the ultimate body of lean muscle mass to now at the age of 46 and 5"7" and 190lbs with 7% bf lean, muscular and ripped...I seem to be in a world of my own. You don't see many if any of the hardcore gyms like you used to see which was like a basement of just concrete and lots of steel...no machines, just barbells and dumbells and alot of grunts of pain from the members...Now the gyms are more of a social place with lots of big screen TV's and tons of high tech cardio machines...My gym has all that but also a nice free weight area but I see myself as the freak of the gym everyday....I go in thier on a mission, I crank my headphones up loud with kick ass Metalica, AC/DC, Motley Crue music and never shut it off even with people comming up to me to ask me what ever it is on thier mind...It's usually the same ****...How did you get that big and ripped or are you a professional wrestler or something along those lines....I see all the guys in the gym go about thier trainning everyday, and never changing, even the guys that actually pay a trainner that looks like they never picked up a weight in their lives and these people pay for years and look worse then when they started....[if your going to hire a trainer...Atleast hire one that looks like he works out and has a great muscular body]...I see people with bad form that have no clue what thier doing but they come up to me wanting to give me advice on how I train...I barley ever see anyone ever sweat a drop or ever see any pain in their faces as their lifting the 15lb dunbells. I know thier are many here that are serious and know what I'm talking about and probably see the same thing everyday. But I guess we are the few and the proud and the freaks...The ones that hit the gym with one thing on our minds...To totally destroy the muscles we plan to work that day...To go non stop and pour sweat where we leave a puddle everywhere we go...Clenching our teeth and showing pain and power with each rep we push out...and screams or pain from going beyond the burn...and when its all over we sometimes just have to sit thier on the bench and try all we can not to puke all over the floor and weights from going past exhaustion. Off course these past few paragraphs are just a small part of our freakesh day...Then it's a mission to keep out bodies in a non stop anabolic state...Eating the perfect combination of foods and just as important eating them at the perfect times for muscle growth....Having 100% dedication and will power...Never having a craving for junk food and just shoving down veggies and nothing but high protein fat free or low fat foods all day...Chuging down water and taking a gallon of it where ever we go...Taking tons of horse pill sized supplements that cause us to almost puke as they get stuck in out throats every now and then...Then we can't forget the pleasure and pain of all the injection of stacking gear, HGH, igf and what ever else you may be sticking in your body everyday. Then if this was not all enough, the real serious will make it a way of life and get up a few times during the night and walk through the dark and into the kitchen and shove down a protein drink and cottage cheese, etc throughout every night to keep our bodies in that anabolic state and never go into catabolism. As I mentioned in the beginning...I've been in this game and very serious about it for many years but in all these years I have only seen a very few with the dedication and ambition to do what it takes. If your a newbie reading this then hopefully this will be an eye opener to show you what it takes to make your body change in a drastic way...For the rest of us that put in as much as I do with all this...It's good to have a place like this to sit back and read and talk to the few others in the world that are considered freaks...We are the few but we are also the best...It takes a special man or woman to go through all this, day in and day out. Stay strong and never quit my brothers...and as long as you never quit...you will hit your goals and your dreams...
