I see questions come up now and then about going in for surgery or going to the dentist... No matter how much we brush our teeth or use dental floss, dental work is an unfortunate eventuality for all of us who live long enough... Many people have several teeth removed between the ages of 5 and 7, and then wisdom teeth between the ages of 18 and 25. ..Evolution and modern health care has resulted in humans possessing more teeth than can fit comfortably, and we are often faced with the prospect of having teeth removed... It’s not an altogether enjoyable experience... Often, we are able to complete the procedure in a single day... You arrive, enjoy some prep work, are put to sleep, and your teeth are pulled... When you awaken, you feel groggy for a while, and you will likely feel some serious pain in your mouth for the next week, depending upon the number of exposed nerve endings resulting from what is actually major surgery, as routine as it may be... Many bodybuilders often feel the need to shield their steroid use from their physicians... This is never a good idea, particularly when medication is prescribed... Interactions with AAS can be unpredictable... Even certain antibiotics can cause death when mixed with ephedrine! However, when it comes to dental surgery, the stakes are even higher... Here are a few factors you should consider before misleading your doctor by “forgetting to mention” your steroid use... Anesthesia This is the riskiest part of the equation... When you are placed under anesthesia to help you lose consciousness, any drugs in your body which have not been revealed to your doctor can be very dangerous... Many patients have died over the years from not revealing their anti-depressant or other MAOI usage to anesthesiologists... Tell your doctor about your AAS use, particularly fat burners... Remind your anesthesiologist right before the procedure to ensure you didn’t slip through the cracks... You life does depend on this! Painkillers for recovery Most patients are prescribed Vicodin or similar painkillers following oral surgery to help manage the pain... Check with your doctor as well as independently to ensure there will be no interactions with the myriad of medications you’ll be using that week... Clotting This is a huge issue, as AAS and fat burning compounds often leave the blood thinner than would be desirable for standard clotting to occur... You wouldn’t take ten aspirin each day and expect to clot normally, so why would a menu of Cytomel, ECA, and Nandrolone be any different? Tell your doctor early about your med usage, and research it independently using message boards or webmd.com to ensure clotting will not be a concern for you... Recovery factors In most cases, recovery from dental (or any) surgery is greatly improved by the use of AAS... Those users tend to have stronger immunity systems, higher red blood cell counts, and a greater amount of nitrogen in the blood... You may find you recover faster with AAS! Take a break If you’re not sure, take a break of 2-3 week from your AAS use... Better safe than sorry, as the amount of muscle you lose from a 3 week hiatus will be nothing compared to months’ worth of recovery from a bad drug interaction – or worse... Tell your doctor the truth, and don’t be afraid to back off compounds for a short while. .. Many of us who use steroids are afraid to say anything to any kind of doctor because of the chance of them writing it down in our records and taking a chance that we will never get covered for medical insurance for the rest of our lives...It's a very serious risk and chance...To be honest, I have gone under the knife and have been in several conditions where I was going to have to be put under and have to take all kinds of meds...I was on cycle at these times but kepted it to myself...Luckly I made it though those times with no problems but as we know everyone is different...Use your best judgement...
