The Metabolic Caucus Of Anabolic Steroids

Anabolic steroids work in a clear fashion... They pharmacologically work just like other drugs once they have been introduced in the body... For example, Aspirin relieves the pain of a person through its action of binding on cell receptors that transmit pain or any inflammation that is causing pain... After its binding aspirin elements are able to block any pain or slow inflammation... In conjunction to blocking of pain or inflammation, aspirin also brings about stomach upsets since it also blocks a certain protective enzyme that starts from the stomach... More light is shed on the action of betablockers... This is a type of drug that controls blood pressure through the binding on beta receptors found in the heart muscles which control the blood pressure directly... Once the binding has been occasioned the heart is prevented from working fast and incisively, thus the blood pressure is decreased... In addition, these betablockers have been known to cause impotence and fatigue through their blocking effect and stimulation of other biological processes... There is always a dark side towards the usage of any drug... None is perfect or has zero effects... Anabolic steroids cause retention of nitrogen which is another open biological activity of the body. Nitrogen is held by proteins within which it plays that important part of tissue building... Individuals using steroids have been found to contain a balanced nitrogen content, a more preferred dimension where most of the protein intake is mightier than nitrogen excretion... Steroid Absorption Most drugs, including Anabolic Steroids, are mostly administered intravenously or orally... Once drugs have been administered orally, their absorption then becomes quite complex as compared to them being administered intravenously... The drugs go through some barriers where they are then administered in the blood stream for that eventual desired effect... They first have to pass through the acid within the stomach, over come all the bacteria within the wall of the smaller intestines and thirdly, survive all the changes taking place in the same (small intestines)... Lastly, these drugs must be victorious over the metabolic processes taking place within the liver... The metabolic effects within the liver are known as the pass effect... These drugs travel through the liver where a contingent of blood acts as a thread of filtering mechanism, as some of the enzymes within the liver transform the drugs as they make their way into the blood stream... Enzymes are literally elements of proteins which change a drug within the body as well as aiding biochemical reactions to work better... When administered intravenously, anabolic drugs are taken within the blood stream very fast... They make their way inside the blood mechanism immediately and fore go all the processes that steroids administered orally undergo, such as metabolic effect of the liver... The drugs are then distributed within the body by being transported as a component of blood through its conduction throughout the body... The kidneys are the chief organs which excrete most drugs via urine... But the liver also excretes some drugs as well as the lungs, skin and breasts...
